[ArcheOS] IPE - vector graphics editor software suggestion

I'm using IPE with good results, to create vectorial graphics traced over raster images:

Apparently IPE revealed to be more light, fast and accurate than Inkscape, in tasks like creating vectorial archaeological plans, or line art illustrations (i.e. tracing over colored medieval miniatures).

Vector files created in IPE, can also be exported to Inkscape.

IPE isn't an Inkscape replacement, but can be a good complementary software, offering extra features, like advanced LaTeX compatibility.
