[barcode] Asterisks and parenthesis

Hello again.
Thanks for sending the files.

I looked at my keyboard, and I found the solution (I have an ancient
IBM keyboard with Italian keycaps but I run the US+customization map).

The "*" key on the US keyboard (shift-8) is decoded as "(" if you
run the Italian keymap.

The whole idea of a "keyboard-emulating" scanner is fool, in my opinion.
I bought a serial one, as most of my computers are saner platforms
than the x86, fortunately.
