[bglug] kernel bug

Buongiorno a tutti,

dalla versione 3.qualcosa del kernel linux il mio pc ha avuto problemi 
di kernel panic durante l'installazione di tutte le distribuzioni 
presenti nel panorama linux.
Dopo diverse ricerche ho trovato un bug segnalato da altri utenti che 
identificano il problema nel ricevitore infrarossi del mio pc.
Non essendo disattivabile da bios e non avendo voglia di smontare il 
notebook per scollegarlo fisicamente ho seguito queste istruzioni per 
installare ubuntu 12.04:

|A workaround to be able to install Precise on these systems:
- Boot with a 12.04 Live CD or USB.
- Press a key to acces the options, select your language.
- Press f6 to edit the commandline (advanced options), then press esc to 
dismiss the popup.
- On the kernel command line, after the --, add ite_cir.blacklist=yes
- Press enter

This will allow you to boot into the Live environment and try out or 
install 12.04.

On first boot, you'll be affected by this problem again, so:
- When booting, right after your PC's POST routine finishes, press the 
right SHIFT key. Keep it pressed until the GRUB menu appears.
- Press 'e' to edit parameters for the boot entry.
- Move down to the "linux" line (next to last), then move to the end of 
that line.
- again, type ite_cir.blacklist=yes at the end of this line
- Press ctrl-x.

This should have you booted into your new system. From here you can do 
the workaround from comment #6 to make the blacklisting permanent.

mi piacerebbe formattare il mio pc e passare a suse ma temo che si 
pianti ancora durante l' installazione, se prendo queste due 
segnalazioni di bug:

c'è modo di capire se hanno fixato questo bug (che poi fondamentalmente 
è lo stesso)?

inoltre, se l'hanno fixato, il fix perpetuerà in tutte le verisioni di 
kernel successive o prima o poi verrà "dismesso"?

insomma, in parole povere, come funziona la risoluzioni di bug segnalati?
