[Tech] fetchmail: client/server synchronization error

Ciao.

Uso fethmail per scaricare la posta da varie caselle.
In particolare ho queste due in .fetchmailrc:

poll mail.miodominio    proto POP3
  user aldo@miodominio               with pass xxxxxx       is 
miambox    here
  user secretary@miodominio          with pass yyyyyy       is 
miambox    here

e hanno sempre funzionato.
Adesso, da un paio di giorni, danno un errore:

fetchmail: client/server synchronization error while fetching from 
miodominio

E nel log si legge:

fetchmail: timeout after 300 seconds waiting for server miodominio
fetchmail: Query status=7 (ERROR)
fetchmail: timeout after 300 seconds waiting for server miodominio
fetchmail: Query status=7 (ERROR)

Ora, la cosa strana, è che questo problema riguarda solo fetchmail.
Se uso un normale client di posta (Thunderbird, per esempio) va tutto bene.
E anche se eseguo una sessione POP3 a mano:
