Non e' difficile ; basta commentare la riga che ti ha inserito in
/etc/apt/sources.list. In parole povere, diventa root, apri il
sources.list in un editor (io amo vi, ma vanno bene tutti) e anteponi
alla riga incriminata un segno di cancelletto :# dopo salva, dai un
apt-get update e poi install gnome...dovrebbe filare tutto liscio. Per
installare mplayer, meglio affidarsi al repository di marillat. 
Aggiungi sempre in sources.list
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org sarge main
fai come prima apt-get update...e dovresti eesere a posto!
