Da cui cito il passo di interesse:

Da cui si evince che se distribuisci un software gpl binario PUOI 
SCEGLIERE tra
1) distribuirlo *insieme* al corrispondente codice sorgente
2) accompagnarlo con un'offerta scritta della disponibilità a dare i 
sorgenti (facendoti pagare il mezzo) per 3 (e non 5) anni.
3) Accompagnarlo con l'INFORMAZIONE di dove prendere il codice sorgente 
(applicabile solo se cedi il software gratis, e se chi te lo ha dato 
garantisce l'offerta di cui al comma B. OVVERO: "ti regalo il cd di 
installazione di Mandrake, sappi che Mandrake si offre di darti il 
codice sorgente se glielo chiedi")

Inoltre:

Da cui si evince che se la distribuzione del binario è fatta permettendo 
l'accesso da un certo luogo di distribuzione (es: sito ftp) che contiene 
anche i sorgenti, questo è valido come offerta di fornitura potenziale 
dei sorgenti.

In soldoni: per dare cd al linux day senza violare la GPL basta dire ai 
riceventi dove possono andare a prendersi i sorgenti corrispondenti.
