Actually, I have the PS/2 init sequence for resetting it to the default
protocol in the Debian patches, which I'm going to need to update to the
current gpm tree and submit.

The problem however is that there are a /LOT/ of PS/2 mice which don't
give a damn about the protocol and react very very poorly to much in the
way of an init sequence.

I ended up creating the fups2 and fuimps2 protocol types to deal with
that. (Expand fu to whatever you want to, even the worse case fits
perfectly.)

FWIW, I'm quite glad to find that gpm has an upstream once more.
