[gpm] gpm-1.99.5 compiling error

hi,
bumping from 1.99.3 to 1.99.5 i received this error (see attachment).

that's on a PowerPC G4 with CRUX PPC 2.4
binutils-2.18, gcc-4.2.3, glibc-2.7
