[Primipassi] XF86conf-4 + ati 900pro aiw

Ciao a tutti,
questa volta mi trovo in difficolta con la configurazione di un XF86config-4.
qualcuno ha mai provato a configurare le schede ati (magari un all in wonder 9000pro) sotto redhat9?
in anzi tutto a livello hw la scheda viene riconoscita in questo modo:
dando uno scanpci

a questo punto ho scaricato e installato i driver .
seguesndo il file d'installazione di ati ho dato i seguenti comandi:
" rpm -e --nodeps XFree86-Mesa-libGL-4.3.0-2
rpm -Uvh /home/gio/fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.2.5.i586.rpm"
perche' mi dava un conglitto con le librerie mesa installate di default su redhat 9
e come output ho ricevuto:

dopo di che ho lanciato fglrxconfig,
che mi ha generato il file XF86config-4.
riavvio il server X ma quello che ottengo come output e' un errore come questo:
