e ... sei hai quell'errore i casi sono probabilmente:

1. You are not currently in the proper directory in your terminal
window. If you run the command 'ls' and the result does not show a
"Makefile" in that directory, you may not be in the top of that package.
Navigate to the top folder in the package.

2. I have seen this error when really only the first half was correct:
there was no "target" selected for the 'make' command. Some packages
require that you declare a particular thing to be made based on some
options listed in the Makefile. Two projects required that I type 'make
unix' -- I found this out by reading the INSTALL file or by reading the
Makefile itself and trying to decipher the list of options for 'make'.
Sometimes you have to check various documentation in that top directory,
or in an included 'doc' directory: README, INSTALL, OPTIONS, UNIX,
LINUX, etc.
