Ah! Purtoppo di comunico che =E8 codificato male in UTF-8 :-(

Aprendo il file appare quell'/Atilde

Soluzione proposta: apri gedit x GNOME2 (se lo hai), verifica nelle
preferenze il salvataggio in UTF-8, quindi buttati su trova/sostituisci.
Tieni conto che, se non sbaglio, ogni lettera accentata =E8 stata resa con
/Atilde pi=F9 un altro carattere (in questo caso uno spazio).

gtranslator per GNOME1.x ha un pessimo supporto all'UTF-8. Per emacs =E8
meglio leggersi il "Linux Italian HOWTO) e seguire le indicazioni
relative nel, mi pare, terzo capitolo/paragrafo/sezione/quello che =E8

visto un ''. Non ora, ma per una release futura di gnome-terminal magari
potresti provare ad uniformare. Il bello di questo lavoro =E8 che non si
finisce mai :-))
