Lock down

Pare che per il prossimo e futuro GNOME 2.6 sarà disponibile il supporto
per il lock down.

O per lo meno ho aggiornato ieri il mio checkout dal cvs di gnome-panel
e pare che siano già apparse delle stringhe relative a tale
caratteristica. Non le ho ancora provate, però.

Cmq prima o poi ci saranno :-)

Ora, come tradurlo? Le stringhe presenti sono per il momento:

        Lock down the panel
        The Applet's containing Panel is locked down
        Complete panel lockdown

che sono spiegazioni brevi di chiavi GConf. Le relative spiegazioni
lunghe in ordine sparso dovrebbero essere:
      * If true, the panel will not allow any changes to the
        configuration of the panel. Individual applets may need to be
        locked down separately however. The panel must be restarted for
        this to take effect
      * If true, the panel will be locked in place, properties won't be
        changable. The user won't be able to add, remove or even move
        applets. Also properties of all objects on this panel will be
        locked down as well. Properties of external applets may however
        have to be locked down separately. The panel must be restarted
        for this to take effect.
      * A list of applet IIDs that the panel will ignore. This way you
        can disable certain applets from loading or showing up in the
        menu. For example to disable the mini-commander applet add
        'OAFIID:GNOME_MiniCommanderApplet' to this list. The panel must
        be restarted for this to take effect.


Se non erro la versione stabile del KDE (3.1.x) dovrebbe già avere
queste caratteristiche o simili. Qualcuno sa indicarmi come sono
tradotte o come si fa ad impostarle?

Al momento non ho alcuna idea in merito alla traduzione. Tranne che
usare il solo "blocca" potrebbe essere fuorviante, visto che è già
possibile per l'utente bloccare le applet in un pannello. Ovviamente si
parla della loro posizione.
